OUR MISSION

Back by popular demand! The Corner Comedy Club is proud to announce the long awaited return of our Open Mic.

We want to kick open the doors to everyone who has been waiting for a chance to showcase their talent at The Corner.

This is a booked Open Mic so there will be some new changes and goals we are working to achieve by reestablishing this epic night of comedy!

Our Mission…

We are putting our best effort to create the best possible Open Mic that Toronto has to offer.

Each Open Mic night will have 20 pre-booked comics on the show. Once booked, your hour of booking will be announced on the SUNDAY BEFORE THE SHOW! The running order will be selected lottery style on the night of the show.

Sets will be 3 minutes long so we encourage you to come prepared to deliver your best 3 minutes of original material.

All levels of comedians are welcome to sign up and perform. We are looking for a wide range of experience and skill levels at each show. All applicants will be considered!

The club owner and head booker will be in attendance, and along with the audience’s feedback, 8 new comics will be selected to perform at The Corner Comedy Club Showcases.

Selected performers will be invited to perform 5 minute guest spots on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday Night Showcases. The best performers will then be asked to perform 5 minute guest spots on Friday and Saturday Night Showcases.

Comics who perform the best guest spots on weekends will then be given the opportunity to perform paid 15 minute showcase sets. Eventually leading to become part of The Corner Comedy Roster of Paid Regulars.

The Corner expects comics who are booked at the club to be actively promoting the shows that they get selected to perform on at The Corner Comedy Club.

$10 Admission gets you full access to this booked OPEN MIC. Take part in this interactive event and cast your votes to help us select the next wave of paid regular performers at The Corner Comedy Club Showcases.
